First meeting – Sunday 19 April
What is Seedy Sunday?
It’s a relaxed gathering for those who garden, or want to learn about gardening, growing food and sustainability, to share ideas and inspiration. There will be a short talk or video at each meeting and a bit of discussion about what should be happening in the garden now.
Learn from the locals – find out how they overcame some of the problems you may be facing now. Get ideas and inspiration and learn how to grow food for your family. Be a part of a community of gardeners who are rediscovering self-sufficiency and enjoy the benefits of organically grown vegetables and fruit.
What should I bring?
— Koha (to cover hall hire),
— Your questions and experience,
— A friend (we want to encourage everyone to garden),
— Something to swap/share – some seeds, plants, produce.
is Seedy Sunday still running?
Yes it’s this Sunday (21st June) and there is guest speaker Sarah from Edible Gardens.
The First Seedy Sunday will be held at the Paraparaumu Community Centre the 19th of April 2009.
